About BlindWorm

BlindWorm is a German language learning app designed to help you master vocabulary through interactive games, flashcards, and an integrated dictionary.

How-To Guide

Translations & Audio

  • Get Translations: Long-press any German word to see its English translation.
  • Hear Pronunciation: Tap any German word to hear it spoken aloud.

Managing Decks

  • Create a Deck: Tap the + icon on the Flashcards screen.
  • Duplicate a Deck: Tap the 3 dots beside any deck and select ‘Duplicate Deck’.
  • Edit a Deck: Tap the 3 dots beside any of your own custom decks and select ‘Edit Deck’.
  • Mass Edit Cards: On the edit deck page, long-press any card to enter mass edit mode. From here, you can bulk-delete cards, copy them to another deck, or reset their learning rankings.
  • Understanding “% Learned”: Every card tracks how well you know the word. Getting a word correct 4 times in a row gives it a perfect ranking. Once all cards in a deck reach a perfect ranking, the deck will display 100% Learned.

Reporting Issues

If you encounter bugs, incorrect translations, or errors within the built-in flashcards and games, you can flag them immediately:

  • Use the report button (flag icon) found inside each activity.
  • Note: The app is still a work in progress, and submitting reports directly helps improve the quality of future exercises.

Account Deletion (In app)

  1. Login into the app
  2. Open your profile settings (top right corner)
  3. Click “Delete account” button

Account Deletion (Outside the app)

Submit a deletion request via this google form:

Your account and all data related to that account will be deleted. This includes all created flashcards decks and user progress.
